Trees are swaying,trees are swaying,
All the leaves are falling,
All the leaves are falling ,
On the ground,On the ground

Short Story for Fall

"The Little Green Leaf"

Once there was a tree full of little green leaves. And every September, the little green leaves would wait for the big Fall Festival Event day to come.

They knew that soon they would change into their colourful fall suits and dresses. So, they waited, and waited, and waited until one day it happened. One by one the little green leaves started to change. Some changed into yellow dresses and suits, others changed into bright red dresses and suits. There were many that changed into orange. Finally they were all changed and ready for the big dance. But…wait!

There was one little green leaf. He was getting really worried because he hadn’t changed yet. Every morning he would wake up and check if he had changed color. But no…he was still green.

Then the big day came!

The wind blew hard and all the little yellow leaves went dancing with the wind. And all that was left were the little red leaves, the little orange leaves, and the little green leaf.

The wind blew hard, and all the little orange leaves went dancing with the wind, and all that was left was the little red leaves and the little green leaf. He was still green.

The wind blew hard, and the little red leaves went dancing with the wind, and all that was left was the little green leaf.

He waited, and waited, and waited, until finally one morning he had changed. But wait, his suit was not red. His suit was not yellow. His suit was not orange. His suit was red, orange and yellow. It was the most beautiful suit he had ever seen. And now the wind blew…and the little red, yellow and orange leaf went dancing with the wind.
