The Little Turkey Who Couldn't Say No
Once, there was a little turkey that lived a on a farm. One morning, she woke up early. She wanted to run up to the mountain and see the sun wake up.
On the way she met a duck. “Quack, Quack” said the duck. “Can you catch bugs for me?” “Goggle, Goggle” said the little turkey. And off she went to catch bugs for the duck. She hurried. She didn't want to be late for the sunrise.
On the way she met a horse. “Neigh, Neigh” said the horse. “Can you get me oats?” “Goggle, Goggle” said the little turkey. And off she went to get oats for the horse. She hurried. She didn't want to be late for the sunrise.
On the way she met the pig. “Oink, Oink” said the pig. “Can you get me corn?” “Goggle, Goggle” said the little turkey. And off she went to get corn for the pig. She hurried. She didn't want to be late for the sunrise.
On the way she met a goat. “Maa, Maa” said the goat. “Can you get me flowers?” “Goggle, Goggle” said the little turkey. And off she went to get flowers for the goat. She hurried. She didn't want to be late for the sunrise.
On the way she met a cow. “Moo, Moo” said the cow. “Can you get me grass?” “Goggle, Goggle” said the little turkey. And off she went to get grass for the cow. She hurried. She didn't want to be late for the sunrise.
On the way she met a chicken. “Poc, Poc ” said the chicken. “Can you get me grains? "Goggle, Goggle” said the little turkey. And off she went to get grains for the chicken. She hurried. She didn't want to be late for the sunrise.
At last, she ran to the mountain and climbed all the way up. She looked and looked but she did not see the sunrise. The little turkey was too late… She closed her eyes and sighed. She had missed the sunrise!
But wait… When she opened her eyes, she saw a beautiful dark blue and purple sky. And far away she saw the sun. It was red! And the sun was wearing a little yellow nightcap and was getting ready to go to sleep.
It was sunset! The little turkey had missed the sunrise, but she was on time for the sunset. And the little turkey said “Goggle, Goggle” and ran all the way home.
