Valentine Day Games
Valentine Musical Game
Supplies:
Red construction paper (one for each child)
Various colored construction paper
Cut our a large red heart for each child.
Cut out two little hearts from each other color.
Glue matching little hearts on each side of the large red heart.
Cut large red heart in half lengthwise.
Scatter the half hearts face down on the floor.
Have the children hold hands in a circle around the hearts.
Play music while the children walk around the hearts.When the music stops, the children have to pick up a half heart and find the child with the matching little colored heart.
Give each other a hug and sit down. Once everyone is sitting the game came start again.
Valentine Day Recipes
Valentine Freshy
Ingredients
Fruit Juice
Strawberry ice cream
Whipped cream
Fresh Strawberry
Chocolate Syrup
Place a scoop or two of ice cream in a glass.
Pour fruit juice over it.
Top with fresh sliced strawberries and whipped cream.
Serve with a spoon.
Saint Valentine Smoothie
Ingredients
1 cup>strawberry yogurt
Combine in a blender and mix until smooth.
Heart Shaped Sandwiches
Ingredients
Cream cheese, softened
Bread
Heart cookie cutter
Jam ~ strawberry or raspberry
Cut bread into heart shapes with the cookie cutter.
Spread cream cheese on the bread and top with the jam.
Jell-o Hearts
Ingredients
1 Lg box Jello
1 heart shaped cookie cutter
Follow recipe on box for Jello. Chill in a long shallow pan(greased).
Cut out hearts when jello is set.
Valentine Party Cake
Ingredients
1 package vanilla cake mix
1 cup milk
1 package (4-serving size) Vanilla Instant Pudding
1/4 cup powdered sugar
8 ounces Cool Whip -- thawed
1/4 teaspoon red food coloring
Small candies or colored sprinkles
Heat oven to 350F.
Prepare cake mix as directed on package.
Divide batter evenly between greased and floured 8 inch round and 8 inch square baking pans.
Bake as directed on package.
Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans.
Cool completely on wire racks.
Pour milk into medium bowl.
Add pudding mix and sugar.
Beat with wire whisk 2 minutes. Stir in whipped topping and food coloring.
Leave square cake whole; cut round cake in half.
Assemble pieces by turning square cake to diamond shape and using small amount of pudding mixture holding each half of round cake to the top sides of diamond sides, making a heart shape.
Frost cake with remaining pudding mixture.
Decorate with red candies or red sprinkles.
Valentine Crafts
Valentine Wreath
supplies:
cardboard
red and pink construction paper
Glue
Scissors
red ribbon
Cut out the cardboard in a wreath shape
Trace and cut out heart patterns from pink and red construction paper
Glue small heart on top of large heart using contrasting colour
Glue the hearts on the wreath.
Attach a red bow at the top of the wreath
Hint: This is a fun group activity!

Supplies
Red and pink construction paper
Scissors
Glue
Googly eyes
Trace and cut 1 large heart (face), 1 medium heart (body) plus 4 small hearts (for hands and feet).
Cut out 8 strips of paper
Divide in 4 sets of 2 strips and fold each in accordion
Glue hand and feet at ends of accordion strips
Glue both arms and legs on body
Glue face to body
Draw a happy face
